Kissing Cousins on YouTube

Kissing Cousins

If you were a fan of the NBC series [Outsourced] before it was cancelled, then you may recognize the name Rebecca Hazlewood. She is an actress from England who played one of Todd's love interests on the show. In 2008, Hazlewood co-starred in a movie titled Kissing Cousins which is currently being streamed on YouTube for no charge.

The movie is about Amir, a thirty year old bachelor living in Los Angeles, who "serves" people the news about their relationships being terminated. If you like romantic comedies, there is a good chance that you will also enjoy this movie. Just click on the "Kissing Cousins" link above if you are interested in seeing it.

Beats, Rhymes, and Life... (Documentary)

The documentary titled Beats Rhymes & Life: The Travels of a Tribe Called Quest has been out on Blu-Ray and DVD since the middle of October 2011. If you are a regular subscriber to music culture magazines, or are an expert to all things that are hip-hop, then this documentary about the hip-hop group A Tribe Called Quest will come as old news to you. However, for the rest who do not follow music culture so closely, this documentary will answer lots of questions about the group that you may have wondered about, or did not know even existed. Michael Rapaport did a great job of capturing this story. I myself, found this documentary to be quite informative. It was interesting to hear a variety of people talk about the reasons why they liked A Tribe Called Quest.

In my opinion, this documentary is definitely worth watching. It is available at Redbox, Amazon, and Blockbuster.

The Smurfs and Kung-Fu Panda 2 on Blu-Ray and DVD

I had the opportunity to watch The Smurfs and Kung-Fu Panda 2 over the weekend.

Even though The Smurfs was made to appeal to a younger audience, I find that older viewers may still be somewhat captivated by the animation. This movie does a great job of mixing the animated characters with the human characters. Hank Azaria also does a fantastic job of playing Gargamel; very funny.

Kung-Fu Panda 2 was also a movie tailored towards a younger audience, but unlike The Smurfs, I found both the story and the animation to be quite captivating. The graphics are awesome -- period. The plot was also exotic, which made the movie interesting.

The Smurfs and Kung-Fu Panda 2 are both available at Redbox, Amazon, and Blockbuster.

Vampires in Vegas: Fright Night (2011) on Blu-Ray and DVD

Fright Night (2011) was released on Blu-ray and DVD on December 13. Even though, this movie is a remake of the the original Fright Night film that came out in 1985, you should not let that discourage you from seeing it. The movie was awesome! Colin Farrell did a good job of being creepy; so did Christopher Mintz-Plasse (very convincing). Anton Yelchin, who you may recognize from other movies such as Charlie Bartlett, Terminator Salvation, or The Beaver, also did a good job with his character. The plot moves along seamlessly from beginning to end as there is no mystery to who the antagonist is. The special effects and make-up are also done well. I cannot believe Dreamworks didn't release this movie closer to Halloween and try to set records at the box office.

Fright Night is available at Redbox, Blockbuster, and Amazon.
